A Sierra Leonean man identified as Ibrahim Kamara has been held in police custody over allegations of altering fake notes.
According to reports, Police Constable Daniel L.H attached to Makoth Police Post, on Monday 9th October 2023, caught the suspect with the quantity of molds and uttered Sierra Leone currency notes.
It was further reported that, on the same date at Makoth Police Check Point, the latter was searched and discovered the said notes suspected to have been forged.
The report also stated that exhibits of four (4) uttered ten Leone notes, three (3) uttered twenty Leone notes, and quantities of mold were treated as exhibits.
