OSD police Officer, Santigie Kamara, a 35-year-old Operational Support Division (OSD) officer, is currently awaiting Judgment in an Alleged Murder case.
During this case, Santigie Kamara appeared again before Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah at Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown.
He is facing a charge of murder, contrary to Section 1 of the Offences Against the Person Act of 1861, as repealed and replaced by Section 1(a) of the Abolition of the Death Penalty Act, 2021 (Act No. 6 of 2022).
According to the particulars of the offence, on January 19, 2025, at 555 Rural District, Kamara allegedly murdered Francis Amara Kanneh, who is believed to have been his brother.

Additionally, when the charges were first read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken.
Prosecutor Sergeant 9939 Mohamed Lahai has since closed the prosecution’s case, and the case file has been submitted for judgment.
Magistrate Jah has refused bail and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown. The matter has been adjourned to June 3, 2025.
