A deprived school called Safinatu Nurr Islamic School located at New London Manor koya in Waterloo, western area Rural District, has called on Government of Sierra Leone to support them with better building structures to encourage students to perform well in school.

The Safinatu Nurr Islamic School is populated with over 800 pupils in both the primary and the secondary and has been in existence for couple of years now with no good condition for children to learn.

The school has grown in number over the years but there have been no improvement of building and other necessary facilities as compared to other schools in Freetown.

According to one of the teachers, Juldeh Nallah, the school, both the primary and the secondary have been doing very well in public examinations even though it lacks many facilities that aid learning.

As the government is Committed to ensuring that the poorest families are guaranteed access to quality education, the Safinatu Nurr Islamic School are hopeful that the government will reach out to their extended hands.
