The lead counsel defending the fourth accused, Dr. Samura Kamara in the ongoing Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) matter versus Saidu Nallo and four others, Wednesday 19th April 2023, informed the bench that they would file on behalf of their client the fourth accused, Dr. Samura Kamara, about the everyday attendance in court.

According to the lead Counsel, Franklyn Kargbo Esq, the frequent adjournment is affecting their client directly. He said the daily attendance to court has caused a lot of inconvenience for their client, Dr. Samura Kamara.

“We will be making an application for the court to consider our client. He is a flag bearer in the forthcoming elections,” he said.

In his response, the trial Judge, Justice Adrian Fisher told the lead counsel for the fourth accused to write the application. He said he is going to look into it and make his ruling. He said that the court would give a level-playing ground for everyone; and that if their application has any merit, he would consider it.

The prosecution has finally closed their case after the recalling of Paul Bockarie and Idriss Samauty Tejan for re-cross examination after the visit to the New York Chancery Building.

That matter was adjourned to April 26th for DW1 to testify.
