In a recent chiefdom meeting held on January 25th in Kowa Chiefdom, Moyamba District, to address alleged fraud in the upcoming paramount chieftaincy elections, tensions have soared to a boiling point.

The situation took a darker turn on January 26th when unidentified individuals entered Njama town, the chiefdom headquarters, instilling fear among residents and prompting them to stay indoors overnight.

Chief Donald, an aspiring paramount chief from the Kpanabondoh Ruling House, reported that his family house and others were attacked and damaged during the night. Daniel Benya, the sitting councillor of Ward 348 covering Kowa Chiefdom, received a distressing call from his wife, highlighting the tense atmosphere and urging him to stay safe.

Miss Amy Tator Tibbie, a paramount chieftaincy aspirant, is now under scrutiny for her alleged involvement in these incidents. The exact nature of her purported role remains unclear, and investigations are underway.
