The Chief Immigration Officer (CIO) of the Sierra Leone Immigration Department, Andrew Jaiah Kaikai, has continued his humanitarian and feeding support to thousands of less privileged Sierra Leoneans in various communities in the Freetown municipality.

According to Mr. Kaikai, he started giving humanitarian support to the less privileged in 2018, adding that helping the less privileged had been his nature from birth.”Some of my people used to say I inherited such heart from my great grandfather who, according to my parents, was a generous and kind giver and loved to give to the poor and support family members in difficulties”, Mr. Kaikai recalled.

He averred that it is their responsibility to take care of the needy and he would always be comfortable with giving charity to the needy, adding that he is not doing it for party supporters alone but also the needy from other political parties as we are all Sierra Leoneans.

Mr. Kaikai further averred that we have only one Sierra Leone and that it is about time we forgot about politics.

He harped on the current global economic challenges which every nation is currently going through, adding that for Sierra Leone, we should be very grateful to His Excellency President Brig. (Rtd) Julius Maada Bio for his kind heart. Mr. Kaikai furthered that the President is a living testimony to every peaceful, lovely citizen of this country.

He, therefore, appealed to Sierra Leoneans to give him a chance to complete all the developmental strides he has initiated since he was elected to carry the mantle of the presidency. The CIO said Sierra Leoneans have seen tremendous progress under the Bio administration in the areas of infrastructure, education, electricity supply, and tourism among others. In an exclusive interview with the CIO, Andrew Jaiah Kaikai while he was in the Diaspora, his dream was to return home and help the less privileged as a way of cushioning the hardship they are going through.
