His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has departed Freetown for Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to participate in the Mission 30 Energy Summit, jointly organized by the World Bank Group and the African Development Bank Group.

The summit, which brings together African Heads of State, international partners, philanthropies, and private sector leaders, focuses on advancing the ambitious goal of connecting 300 million Africans to energy by 2030.

This initiative, known as “Mission 300,” aims to scale energy access across the continent while accelerating a clean energy transition to address Africa’s growing energy demands sustainably.

President Bio’s participation underscores Sierra Leone’s commitment to enhancing energy accessibility and supporting sustainable development across the continent.

The event provides a platform to collaborate on practical solutions, mobilize resources, and reinforce partnerships to address Africa’s energy challenges.

President Bio is expected to engage in high-level discussions that will shape the future of energy access and clean energy transformation across Africa.
