President Bio has delivered a stunning speech at the COP26 Global Climate Summit in Glasgow, Scotland. In his speech, President Bio expressed his commitment to fighting against climate change in Sierra Leone.

The President stated that Sierra Leone is fully committed to international contracts and actions to develop climate resilient future.

The President recognized the effects of climate change in Sierra Leone’s ecosystem and explained the steps Sierra Leone is taking to combat climate change which includes change of policies and strengthening of the environment protection agencies.

The President highlighted that Sierra Leone is restoring the forest system by planting trees in 960,000 hectares of depleted forest.

The President called on international partners to help Sierra Leone fight against climate change.

“It’s not easy to be green, but in Sierra Leone, we are determined to be green”, the President Bio ended his speech.
