Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh has called for the Pursuit of a consensus based on a Just, Mutually acceptable solution consistent in solving the protracted conflict between Israel and Palestine. Briefing the Council, Dr. Sengeh states “This protracted conflict must be analyzed in the context of the continuing occupation by Israel of the Palestinian territories. A consensus must be vigorously and persistently pursued based on a just, mutually acceptable solution, consistent with international law, and the relevant UN resolution.
Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Communication, Chernor was among the group of young leaders representing Sierra Leone on the Platform.

In his remarks, The United Nations Secretary GeneraI, Antonio Guterres renew his appeal for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. He believes this will ensure sufficient aid gets to where it is needed, facilitate the release of hostages, and help lower tensions around the Middle East.
The Secretary General emphasized that he two-State solution is the only way to address the legitimate aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians and any refusal to accept the two-State solution by any party must be firmly rejected
