The China Railway International Group (CRIG) has supported the Freetown City Council (FCC) with an excavator machine, two dumper trucks with full fuel tanks, including labour staff for the clearing and proper disposal of waste at the Kingtom dump site in Freetown.

The dump site supervisor, Kabba Samura, at the Freetown City Council Dump site in Kingtom said that he has had several engagements with top officials of the Freetown City Council on how they could manage and help the situation of clearing and proper waste deposal at the Kingdom dump site.

He also said that this is not the first time the China Railway International Group (CRIG) has offered such support to them, adding that the management of the Freetown City Council always requests the company’s support when the need arises.

He further expressed his gratitude and appreciated the effort taken by the company for giving such support to FCC which was the right time they expect much help from the company.

“This is the actual time we used to face serious constraints as waste depositors brought in waste at random, especially when we move to the festive season,” he explained.

Speaking to Aruna Okina Kanu, the Safety and Personnel Manager at the China Railway International Group (CRIG), he explained that they supported the Freetown City Council with an excavator machine, two dumper trucks with full tanks, including labour Staff for the clearing and proper waste disposal at the Kingtom Dump Site in Freetown.
