APC Presidential Aspirant, Samura Kamara has urged Sierra Leonean Muslims to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, forgiveness, submission as well as benevolence to accommodate one another and promote peace for the growth and development of the country.

Kamara gave the charge in a social media post while congratulating Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of this year’s Eid-Ul-Adha.

“Today from myself and my family I send my best wishes to our Muslim brothers and sisters all over the world on this Eid Day. I pray that this day is joyous and full of blessings to us all. Eid Mubarak. To our brothers and sisters who performed Hajj, May Allah accept their Hajj.”, the former Minister wrote on Twitter.

It would be recalled that on Friday, Samura also joined muslim faithfuls at the Kuntorloh Central Mosque. Eastern Freetown for Friday prayers. 

His visit was greeted with mammoth crowd who cheered the 2018 Presidential candidate of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC).

Today, Saturday July 9, 2022 represents Eid Ul Adha which is usually observed by Muslims across the world in recognition of the firth piler of Islam (Hajj). Subsequently, the government of Sierra Leone has declared Monday, July 11, 2022 as work-free day to mark this year’s Eid-Ul-Adha celebrations.
