Government of Sierra Leone Declares Public Holiday For Eid-Ul-Adha
Deborah Sorie The government of Sierra Leone has declared Monday, July 11, 2022 as work-free day to mark this year’s Eid-Ul-Adha celebrations.
As Muslims are set to observe the Eid prayers on Saturday 9thJuly 2022, the government has declared a holiday the following Monday cross the country.
This holiday is in recognition of the Eid Ul Adha observed by Muslims across the world. The Eid Ul Adha is usually observed in recognition of the firth piler of Islam (Hajj).
The sacrificing of animals is also done on this day by Muslims.
