Flooding in the capital of Freetown has been a major challenge over the years as it destroys lives and properties worth millions of leones.

Whenever there is heavy rain major streets in Freetown tend to flood because most of the drainages have been filled with garbage as most citizens dump their garbage in drainages.

Wilkinson Road is one of the major roads in the west of Freetown as it leads to the Central Business District of the city and this road has been flooded due to heavy rains, which leads to vehicle stocking on the road as it was un-accessible.

The First Lady Dr. Fatima Bio has blamed the mayor of Freetown Yvonne Aki-Sawyer and also speaks about the amount of money used to construct the road.
She thanks Jento for clearing the road after the rains for the easy flow of traffic.

“I returned home yesterday passing through APC 25million dollar Wilkinson Road. Flooding everywhere I can’t help but ask what do we have a Mayor for? Thanks to Mohamed Jento Kamara who came out to clear our gutters to allow free flow of water around the city. #Freetonians be wise”.
