Popular Lawyer Francis Gabbidon has opined in an interview with  AYV TV station that APC Presidential Flagbearer Dr. Samura is not a building Contractor in the ongoing Locus in Quo Visit in the United States of America.

The rationale for his statement questions the essence of the Locus in Quo visit in the United States of America (New York) through a court order in the ACC Case: The state Vs Saidu Nallo, Foday Vahfohmba Bawoh, Adikali Foday Suma, Samura M.W. Kamara, Kandeh Foday Basil Kamara and Jules Sanders Davies.

Locus in quo is a Latin term that means “place in which.” It refers to the specific location where an event or incident is said to have taken place.

“As far as I am concern from what I have listen to the evidence, Samura is not a building Contractor” he stated

He further pointed out that if it was for him, he would not have gone to New York. He added that he doesn’t think going to New York is necessary. However, he confirmed he doesn’t know the relevance of going to New York because this is a case that doesn’t have to do with New York but he believes the judge has a reason.

He described the Locus in Quo as unprecedented because he has been in this profession for over 50 years and he is not aware of any situation like this.

He revealed recently seeing something on Saturday where the Judge and some lawyers were outside the building arguing and he doesn’t know whether it was necessary. He added that he was not in court, and doesn’t know the relevance why the judge gave the order.

Speaking on the issue about transparency on the said matter, he opined that they don’t need to go to New York to show Transparency. He justified  that they should have called a structural engineer or somebody who saw the building before and whether there was repair done before.

Kamara, the front runner of the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) in the 2023 multi – tier elections, is facing the country’s Anti – Corruption Commission (ACC), on two count charges of ‘Misleading a Principal’ and ‘Misappropriation of Public Funds.

Dr. Samura Kamara has always denied wrongdoing and considers the charges politically motivated.
