Aiah Tambayama Gbakima has made history by becoming the first Sierra Leonean to pass the Graduate Management Accelerated Program (GMAP) entrance exam.
This accomplishment follows his previous successes, including topping the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASCE) in 2019 and being named AWOL Young Achiever of the Year.

Gbakima’s success in passing the GMAP entrance exam is the first of its kind for Sierra Leone. The GMAP, launched by UBA in 2023, aims to select and develop young professionals for leadership roles in Africa’s banking sector.
