BREAKING: Government of Sierra Leone Announces New Transportation Fares For Public Transport
Ibrahim Hashim The Ministry of Transport and Aviation and stakeholders in the transportation industry have today, 5 January 2023 announced new transportation fares for various destinations across the country.
According to the notice the new transport fares are effective today, 5 January 2023.
The announcement came following the public pronouncement on the reduce in the pump price of fuel per litre for Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene from Le21 to Le19.50.
“Following the public pronouncement on the decrease in the pump price of fuel per litre for Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene from NLe21 to NLe19.50, the General Public is hereby informed that the Ministry of Transport and Aviation in collaboration with the Motor Drivers Union and other Key Stakeholders in the Transport Sector have agreed as follows for public transportation fares within the Freetown Municipality and the Provincial/Across-Border Routes effective THURSDAY 5TH JANUARY, 2023:,” the notice reads.
