The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Ministry of Information and Civic Education, host another edition of the Civic Day Series in Kabala, Koinadugu District, on Monday, November 2, and Tuesday, November 3, 2026, to strengthen engagement between government officials and citizens.

The town hall meeting, held under the theme “Government at Your Doorstep,” is an open platform for dialogue between government representatives and residents on key national issues affecting communities across the country.

The initiative forms part of the government’s broader efforts to promote civic participation, transparency and public engagement by bringing governance closer to citizens and encouraging inclusive national dialogue.

The Civic Day Series is guided by the national civic message #SaloneBigPasWiAll- “We Rise to Lift Salone Above All Else,” which emphasises collective responsibility in nation-building and national development.

The main town hall meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, at the District Council Hall in Kabala, will feature several government officials as panellists, including the Minister of Employment, Hon. Umar Napoleon; the Minister of Public Administration and Political Affairs, Hon. Amara Kallon; and the Presidential Adviser on Parliamentary Affairs at the Office of the President, Madam Isata Jabbie Kabba, among others.

The engagement will provide residents of Kabala and surrounding communities with the opportunity to directly interact with government officials and raise concerns, share views and discuss issues relating to the development of Kabala and the country as a whole.

Residents, civil society organisations, youth groups, traditional leaders and other members of the public are encouraged to attend and actively participate in the discussions.

The government has reaffirmed its commitment to continuously engaging citizens on emerging national issues, making public participation an important part of its governance and development agenda.
