In a press release dated March 17, 2025, the Guma Valley Water Company announced the temporary shutdown of water supply to Freetown due to essential maintenance work.
The company informed the public that the water supply to Freetown will be shut down on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, lasting 12 hours.
The shutdown is necessary to facilitate maintenance work on the transmission pipeline at the following locations:
18-inch Air Valve at Juba
28-inch Transmission Pipeline at Mambo Village
28-inch Transmission Pipeline at Banga Farm (Mile 13)
18-inch Transmission Pipeline at Mile 13 Village
The management of Guma Valley Water Company apologized for any inconvenience caused and assured its valued customers and the general public that every effort would be made to restore the water supply within the stated time frame.
