Government of Sierra Leone Declares Public Holidays for Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day
Aaron Parker The Government of Sierra Leone, through a public notice, has announced the official declaration of public holidays in celebration of Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
According to the announcement, the following dates have been designated as public holidays across the country:
Wednesday, 25th December 2024: Christmas Day
Thursday, 26th December 2024: Boxing Day
Wednesday, 1st January 2025: New Year’s Day
The government encourages all citizens to observe these holidays and celebrate the festive season responsibly. These public holidays provide an opportunity for Sierra Leoneans to reflect, share love, and welcome the new year with renewed hope and aspirations.
