Former-Attoney General and Minister of Justice of Sierra Leone, Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara has expressed concerns over the effects of Nigeria’s elections on Sierra Leone’s elections slated for 24 June this year.
‘’The challenges and reports of irregularities in Nigerian elections, raise deep concerns to us in Sierra Leone,” he asserted.
Kamara noted that those concerns raised can be deeply looked into for redress and the same not to happen in Sierra Leone.
He then called on the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) to take those actions into serious consideration.
‘’How prepared is ECSL, in the areas of state-sponsored violence, compromised and corrupted services?”
“When Nigeria sneezes Salone coughs. People’s vote must be protected,’’ he summed up.
