Former Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Chief Samuel Sam-Sumana on Friday 10th November 2023 donated 15 50kg bags of rice and a sum of five million old leones to the Task Force at the All People’s Congress (APC) party Headquarters in Freetown.

The donation was represented by his SAM-28 Movement team which includes Brima Michael Turay, Hon Dauda Tombo Bangura, Pa Aka Koroma, Mayor Bode Gibson, and others as a support to cushion the challenges faced by the secretariat.

The presentation was made to the APC Secretary-General Lansana Dumbuya Esq. in the presence of Comrade Santigie Bangura commonly called Santos, the Taskforce Commander, and a host of other party stalwarts.

Brima Michael Turay assured the Secretary-General of their continued support of the party in diverse ways. The aim is to get a peaceful and United front going forward.

Accepting the gesture, the chairman of the Task Force, Santos expressed his appreciation of the SAM-28 Movement and seized the opportunity to call on the Secretary-General and the leadership of the APC party to stop all forms of marginalization and do everything in their power to bring everyone onboard if APC is to get back to power in 2028.

In his response to Commander Santos, Former Mayor of Freetown, Mayor Bode Gibson, applauded the courage of Commander Santos in calling for an all-inclusive APC. He challenged the leaders to do what was right as fast as possible and get the party on the right path.

Mayor Gibson was very emotional in calling out the entire leadership to shun sectarianism and embrace fairness and unity.

Once again, members of the Task Force were mesmerized by this laudable gesture from Chief SamSumana and his team. The event ended with handshakes and taking of photos.
