The Ministry of Transport and Aviation through it funding partners have been engaging Transport Stakeholders in addressing transportation problems for quite a while.

The Ministry urged Stakeholders to form a National Transportation Company that is inclusive of all Trade Union Organizations in order to secure and run public transportation services in a modern trend.

Mr Kaimachende, the Transport Manager of Sierra Stars, as assigned by the Ministry, summoned all transport stakeholders in a meeting at his office located at 370 Lower Allen Town-Mamboreh, Freetown on the 1st October 2022.

The purpose of the Meeting was to map out the way forward for the formation and the development of the said Transportation Company that will be undertaking the running and service of the proposed 50 government buses set to arrive soon in order to address transportation problems, especially in the city.

The meeting was concluded with the setting up of a committee to look into the development and registration of the company on or before 7th October,2022.
