The attention of the Board of Directors of Orange (SL) Limited (“The Company”) has been drawn to an article published in the Standard Times Newspaper dated 3rd March 2022, with the caption “Orange Chief Kicked Out of Office”.

The Board of Directors of company wishes to unequivocally debunk the context of the article and the allegation therein and clarifies, that Aminata Kane Ndiaye was not kicked out of office. Contrary to the assertions in the article, the board is very pleased with the leadership of Aminata in Sierra Leone.

During her tenure as CEO, Aminata made an extraordinary contribution to the organization. Her strong vision for a contemporary company set orange Sierra Leone on a solid path for sustainable growth. She initiated game-changing innovations resulting to record breaking achievements and made exceptional contributions to improve coverage and quality of service, assumed market share leadership in the country, implemented sustainable CSR projects for vulnerable groups, strengthened governance, digitalization and processes within the company, established a positive tone at the top against corruption and prioritized employee welfare.

Aminata is leaving orange Sierra Leone to pursue her career and we are assured that she would become one of the most remarkable African leaders in the future. The board is therefore pleased to announce the appointment of Sekou Amadou Bah as new CEO of orange Sierra Leone effective 1st March 2022.

Sekou Amadou Bah had a successful career in orange Guinea before joining Congo where he was CEO of orange Money DRC. me Board wishes him the best for the future development of the company. We are assured that with his strong background, exposure and deep understanding of the telecommunications sector and his knowledge of the best industry standards acquired within the orange Group, Mr. BAH will bring his strategic vision, customer orientation and team leadership for the further expansion and success of the Company.
