Arthur Pearce Released From Detention
Salamatu Y. Kamara Vocal politician Arthur Pearce has been granted bail from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters in Freetown after spending over ten days in custody.
Pearce was arrested and detained for an alleged fake WhatsApp account that was sharing inciting messages in his name.
Before his arrest and detention, it was reported that Arthur reported the matter to the Congo Cross Police Division.
A few days back opposition politicians and citizens were calling on the Sierra Leone Police for the release of Arthur Pearce stating that his detention is unconstitutional after spending over ten days in detention without charging the matter to the court or releasing him.
