The Sierra Leone Police has dismissed Modouba Andrew Kaiba Bangura attached at Regional Head quarter East following police disciplinary tribunal.
Sources revealed that M.A.K Bangura Chief Superintendent of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) attached to the Regional Police Headquarters in Kenema dismissal came following a Police disciplinary tribunal on allegations that he uttered this statement “Maada Bio must go in 2023. The people are suffering with hardship” in his office with a trusted police colleague.
However, the Sierra Leone police Justified the dismissal in a memorandum dated 1st October, 2022 on the following reasons.
a) Neglect of Duty contrary to paragraph 9 Rule 16
b) Divulging any matter or thing which it is his duty to Keep Secret
C)Failing to comply with any standing Findings issued by the IGP contrary to Paragraph 9 rule 43.
D)Act Prejudicial to Good Conduct and discipline contrary to paragraph 9 rule 43
The director of professional standards, endorsed his dismissal from the force with immediate effect.
The Administrative Officer, Eastern Region has been instructed to ensure that all Police property including ID card and other badges of identification are retrieved from him immediately.
