Personnel of the Lungi Police Division have expressed appreciation to the Regional Police Commander, North-West Region, AIG Hilary Sao Kanu, and the Local Unit Commander (LUC) of the Lungi Police Division, CSP Augustine Momoh Kamara, for supporting efforts to improve working conditions and service delivery at the station.
The appreciation follows the provision of a reliable lighting system at the Lungi Police Station, a development that has been welcomed by police personnel and members of the community who access police services, including during the night.
The availability of a consistent electricity supply is expected to improve the operational efficiency of officers, enhance their safety and comfort, and facilitate timely access to police services by members of the public.
The improved lighting is also expected to create a more conducive working environment for personnel while strengthening the confidence of community members seeking assistance at the station, particularly after dark.
Personnel commended AIG Sao Kanu and CSP Kamara for what they described as their commitment to the welfare of officers and the improvement of police service delivery.
They said the initiative demonstrates leadership and concern for the working conditions of personnel while contributing to the Sierra Leone Police’s capacity to provide effective and responsive services to the community.
The Lungi Police Division also extended appreciation to Mr Abal Jawandor Sesay and other individuals who contributed to the provision of the lighting system at the station.
The personnel and members of the community expressed gratitude to all those involved in the initiative, describing the improved lighting as an important development for both police operations and public access to essential services.
