The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has announced the death of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Tommy B. Zizer, Esq., who served as Deputy Head of the Legal and Justice Support Department of the force.

According to a statement issued by the SLP, CSP Zizer passed away on Friday, 26 June 2026. The institution described his death as a significant loss to the police force and the wider law enforcement community.

The late officer held a senior position within the Legal and Justice Support Department, where he contributed to the administration of justice and legal affairs within the Sierra Leone Police.

The Inspector General of Police, members of the Executive Management Board, and officers of the Sierra Leone Police expressed profound sorrow over his passing and extended their condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones.

In its statement, the police leadership recognized CSP Zizer’s dedication, professionalism, and valuable service to the institution throughout his career.

The Sierra Leone Police further prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family and all those affected by his death during this difficult period.

Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family and the Sierra Leone Police in due course.
