The Ministry of Youth Affairs has announced that Sierra Leone has been selected for the Global Goals 2030: Africa Scholarship Program, implemented in partnership with the Graduate Institute of Financial Sciences (GIFS) in South Africa.
The initiative will provide 500 scholarships for Sierra Leonean youth, including 100 PhD, 100 Master’s, and 300 Undergraduate opportunities.
According to the Ministry, the program aims to provide transformative educational opportunities that will contribute to human capital development and youth empowerment across Sierra Leone.
Successful applicants will pursue studies at partner universities offering courses aligned with the Global Goals 2030 Program, focusing on inclusive and equitable quality education in line with Goal 4 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
