The New Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) Reverend Smart K. Senesie has on Friday 25th February, 2022 drastically reduced the cost of Motor Riders License from Le700,000 to Le380,000 with immediate effect.

This action by the Executive Director was in response to an appeal made by Executive members of Motor Bikeriders Union in which they highlighted some major challenges faced by the general membership of the union in respect of the one year Riders License being issued to Riders and requested a review from one year to five years.

Presenting the letter of approval to the President of the Motor Bikeriders Union, the Executive Director disclosed that he was pleased to reduce the cost of the riders License in order to encourage more riders to acquire License to always be in compliance with the law.

The Executive Director looked forward to a cordial working relationship between the SLRSA and the commercial Motor Bikeriders Union.

 

The President of the Bikeriders Union Mr Umaru T. Bah, thanked the Executive Director for the gesture and assure the Executive Director that the good news would be disseminated to the membership.

Mr. Bah appealed the SLRSA to reintroduce the routine system for all commercial Motor bikes in the country for better regulation of members.

This laudable action by the E.D came less than two months after his appointment by H E the President.
