Former Vice President in the erstwhile All People’s Congress (APC) government, Victor Bockarie Foh has denied rumours online claiming that he and former Presidential Spokesman, Alpha Khan are dead.

Claims on social media in the past days said both Foh and Khan were involved in a fatal accident up country.

Foh denied the rumours while speaking at the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) campaign at Wusum Field in Makeni on Wednesday. During the ceremony, he reiterated his reason for voting for Bio in 2018.

“I voted for President Bio in 2018 because he had a message and my former party (APC) did not and I will vote again for President Bio on June 24,” Foh said.

The former Vice President had previously been heard and seen mocking his former party’s “tolongbo” slogan used in the 2018 elections. He said the word has no meaning and could not match Bio’s 2018 slogan of “free and quality education”.

Foh also said that he never believed in Samura Kamara as the right choice for the APC’s top job. According to him, Kamara was not marketable.

Foh has since been at loggerheads with APC’s top membership which he said forced him out of the party.

Sierra Leone will hold its multitier election on 24 June with tension already high between the two main political parties.
