A Sierra Leonean Lady based in Ghana has been reportedly rejected Visa by the US Embassy for allegedly discriminating the LGBT in public view.
LGBT is an initialism that stands for “lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender.” In use since the 1990s, the initialism, as well as some of its common variants, functions as an umbrella term for certain sexualities and gender identities.
According to popular Social Media Influencer, Hawanatu Konneh’s post, the said lady had posted a rude and discriminatory message about the LGBT on her page, sometime ago.
Konneh’s post revealed that it was on that basis, the US Embassy refused to grant the lady Visa after they had screened her account and showed her the post.
Mixed reactions surfaced on Social Media as some felt sorry and sad for the lady whiles the other sets take the moment to caution others.
They advised Sierra Leoneans especially bloggers or vloggers to mind their social media interactions and refrain from being nuisances on the media.
