Sierra Leone’s BBC Correspondent, Umaru Umaru Fofanah is currently feeling trapped in Freetown as the whole city experiences blackout and fuel scarcity.

Umaru Fofanah shared his current situation in Freetown on his Facebook timeline. He said, he will be working from home today – if at all he is able to, as according to him, he returned yesterday from the provinces where he struggled to get fuel for his car to head back.

He added that he got to Freetown last night on reverse tank and even with that, he met the city in pitch darkness reportedly because the KarPower ship is having some issues.

He furthered that his standby generator couldn’t and still can’t come on because of the fuel scarcity.

“Car can’t move. Computer can’t come on. Trapped!” He ended.
