US Embassy Trains 10 American Spaces Coordinators in Sierra Leone
The United States Embassy in Sierra Leone has brought together 10 American Spaces Coordinators for a three-day workshop focused on strengthening their capacity to design programmes and activities that align with United States priorities.
The 2026 American Spaces Coordinators Workshop explored how American Super Intelligence (SI) could be used to develop stronger and more effective programmes across the American Spaces network in Sierra Leone.
The workshop provided an opportunity for coordinators to build their skills and explore approaches to improving the activities offered through the centres.

According to the US Embassy, the training was designed to help coordinators understand how American SI could support the development of programmes and activities connected to US priorities.
By strengthening the professional capacity of the coordinators, the initiative aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of activities delivered through American Spaces.
The Embassy said the training forms part of broader efforts to strengthen the American Spaces network, which promotes American values and creates opportunities for learning and innovation.
Through these centres, the United States seeks to expand access to educational opportunities, encourage innovation and provide Sierra Leoneans with opportunities to engage with American culture and ideas.

The Embassy noted that investing in the skills of American Spaces Coordinators would help strengthen the network’s ability to bring aspects of the United States closer to communities across Sierra Leone.
