Central Parade FC have failed to defeat 10-man Freetonians SLIFA in the Sierra Leone Premier League on Sunday evening making it drop down to the 17th position on the league table.

The match which ended in a goalless draw at the Parade Grounds saw Parade pick only a point, thereby gathering nine points after 12 league games.

Parade is now at the drop zone with a point short of safety.

The team spectators yesterday were left bemused by the lack of winning mentality in the squad even after the home side, Freetonians SLIFA saw their midfielder James Yamba sent off for dissent just before the end of the first half.

The crowd at the field expected the away side to put up a better performance in the second half but they failed to create enough chances.

Although, Coach Julius Gibrilla Woobay threw in several players in the second half including wonder kid Salieu Bah, but proved futile as they struggled to find composure.

Fans at the Grounds, however, were amazed by the performance and attitude by the home team even with a man down.

The Mount Aureol based club, SLIFA came closest twice with winger, Musa Bangura hitting the post and striker, David Kamara forcing Parade’s goalkeeper, Alie Joseph making a save in last quarter of the match.

Abu Dumbuya and Alpha Kabia had no trouble controlling the midfield for SLIFA even without Yamba.

The draw saw SLIFA picked up a point sitting at 10th position with 15 points.
