East End Lions Unveils New Artificial-Turf Pitch Ahead of 2026/27 Season
East End Lions Football Club has completed the construction of a new artificial-turf football pitch at the Trade Centre as the club prepares for the 2026/2027 football season.
The newly completed facility, developed under the leadership of Executive Chairman Ambassador Anthony Junior Navo, is expected to serve as the club’s home venue for the upcoming season, which is scheduled to kick off on October 10, 2026.
The new pitch represents a significant addition to East End Lions’ football infrastructure and is intended to provide the club’s players with an improved playing and training environment.
The project forms part of the club’s broader efforts to strengthen its infrastructure and provide better facilities as it continues to compete at the highest level of domestic football.
Ambassador Navo’s investment has also received positive reactions from supporters and football stakeholders, who have described the completion of the facility as an important milestone for the club.
Football supporters have particularly welcomed the development as the fulfilment of a long-standing vision to provide East End Lions with a dedicated home facility.
With the Trade Centre pitch now ready for use, the “Killers” are expected to begin the 2026/2027 campaign with a new home ground as they seek to strengthen their competitive position.
The development also highlights the role of sustained private investment in improving football infrastructure and creating better facilities for players and clubs in Sierra Leone.
