East End Lions Football Club has received full logistical support from the Liberia Football Association (LFA) as they prepare for their CAF Confederation Cup second-leg fixture against Académie Football Amadou Diallo (AFAD) on September 12, 2026, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Stadium in Monrovia.
A meeting between the Sierra Leonean club and the LFA focused on key arrangements for the fixture, including match-day logistics, security, accommodation, transportation and venue readiness.
East End Lions have participated in previous editions of CAF competitions but, like several other Sierra Leonean clubs, have struggled to progress beyond the preliminary and first-round stages, falling short of reaching the group stage.
The club’s continental record reflects its persistence but also highlights the challenges faced by Sierra Leonean teams when competing against more established sides on the continent. Their 2026 CAF Confederation Cup campaign against AFAD presents an opportunity to make a deeper run in the competition.
