The Ghana Football Association Foundation has donated Fifty Thousand Cedis (GHS50,000.0) to Former Leone Stars Coach , Sellas Tetteh at his residence in Ghana.

The President of The Ghana Football Ass, Kurt Edwin Simon-Okraku confirmed that the rationale behind the establishment and subsequent launching of the Foundation is born of the Commitment by the Current leadership to cater for the welfare of Former footballers who might in a deprived Situation as a result of Old Age, Injury, Old Age, ill-Health or general dire Situation .

The Visit of the Former Leone Stars  and Black Stars Coach is the Fist Activity of the GFA Foundation.

Sellas Tetteh, a former Black Stars and Black Satellites’ Coach, was grateful to both the GFA and its Foundation for the visit and donation.

He also thanked the President for personally sponsoring him for the CAF License A Refresher Course for coaches at the Ghana Centre of Excellence, in 2021. He also thanked God for the immense benevolence Ghanaians have showed him since he retired from active coaching.

Sellas Tetteh led Ghana to win the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt, becoming the first African team to win the competition. He was named the CAF coach of the year in 2009. He is also a former coach for Rwanda and Sierra Leone senior national teams.
