The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced the commencement of its CAF D Diploma Coaching Course, scheduled to take place from Monday 6 to Friday 10 July 2026 at the SLFA Secretariat in Freetown.
In a public notice issued through its Technical Department, the SLFA stated that interested football coaches and stakeholders can collect application forms from Monday 15 to Friday 19 June 2026, between 10:00am and 4:00pm daily, at the SLFA Technical Department.
The course, which targets grassroots football development, is designed for coaches who have not yet obtained any CAF coaching diploma and aims to build a strong technical foundation for participants while preparing them for progression to the CAF C Diploma Coaching Course.
Applicants are required to be at least 18 years old, able to read and write in English, possess basic computer skills, and hold an SLFA B Licence or an equivalent coaching certificate. They must also be actively involved in football coaching.
The SLFA further encouraged ex-footballers, active players with an interest in coaching, and Physical Health Education teachers to apply for the programme.
The application fee for the course is set at Le 2,000.
According to the SLFA, the CAF D Diploma Coaching Course is a key step in strengthening grassroots football development by equipping coaches with essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively train and develop young players across the country.
