Leone Stars forward, Mohamed Buya Turay, has been seen in Ghana participating in physical fitness training as he sets his sights on a return to international football.

The 28-year-old player has been without a team since leaving Malmo FF, a Swedish top-flight club, in March. Turay had joined Malmö FF in July 2022.

During his time with MFF, Turay managed to score an Allsvenskan goal in ten games and a goal in five qualifying and group games for the Europa League.

Malmö FF and Mohamed Buya Turay reportedly parted ways due to family circumstances. According to Daniel Andersson, the Sports Manager at Malmö FF, “Mohamed has been forthcoming with his feelings throughout, and we have had productive discussions to try and resolve the situation. When it became prolonged, it eventually became unsustainable for him, and he feels that he cannot perform here and needs to return home to his family. It is undoubtedly unfortunate when this happens, but it is the best solution for all parties involved.”

Turay may be a potential target for European clubs in the upcoming transfer window.
