Sport Minister Ibrahim Yelenkeh has presented an estimated budget of le 48.9 billion  to cabinet for Leone Stars Africa Cup Of Nations  preparations and Participation. The tournament will take place from January 9th to 6th February 2022 in Cameroon.

 

According to a Press Release dated 12th November, 2021, the Minister Of finance has approved  the financing package which entails covering

1 Monthly Training allowances of

2 Six [6] international Friendlies Matches

3 overseas camping: and

4 AFCON 2021 Competition in Cameroon

 

The initial estimated sum presented by the Minister of Sports for the above activities mentioned stands Le 48,94595’861. Of this amount, Le 1,o44,000,000 is allocated for the  payment of monthly training allowances  to players  and members of the Technical Team and Le 17,229,429,038 towards the cost of six international friendly matches.

The sum of Le 30,672, 166,823 is also allocated  to the main AFCON 21 Event in Camerron . This  amount makes provision for overseas camping, Group stage Matches ,Round of 16, quarter final, semifinal and grand final
