Leone Stars Secure a 1-1 Draw Against Benin

Sierra Leone’s national football team, Leone Stars, played to a 1-1 draw against the Cheetahs of Benin in their first game of the October international friendlies today, October 14, 2023, at Stade Bechir in Casablanca, Morocco.

The match kicked off with a splendid goal by Buya Turay for Sierra Leone. Despite a fierce battle from both teams, Sierra Leone maintained a 1-0 lead at halftime.

The second half was equally challenging, but Benin found an equalizer in the 98th minute, breaking the hearts of Leone Stars, who believed they had secured all 3 points. The match extended to the 100th minute.
