During a recent operation conducted by the Kissy Division Operation Team, the Police successfully apprehended five dangerous assailants suspected of being armed robbers. The operation took place at Texaco Junction in Grassfield, East Freetown, and was carried out by a team of dedicated Police officers from the Kissy Division.
The suspects, identified as Emmanuel Fofanah, Ishmael Sesay, Mohamed Komba, Abu Bakarr Bangura, and Mohamed Marrah, all residents of Grassfield, were believed to be part of a robbery gang that had been causing concern in the community. Following numerous complaints from residents about late-night robberies at the Texaco Junction, the Police took action.
During the operation, a sword believed to have been used in the robberies was recovered and is now being treated as evidence. The suspects, along with the recovered exhibit, are currently undergoing investigation at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) located at the Kissy Police Station.
