Following a recent incident that unfolded jn the Quarry Community, Freetown, a pregnant woman allegedly threw hot boiled water on her husband’s younger sister described as a “child”, resulting in severe injuries. The motive behind the alleged act remains unclear.
The incident occurred during the evening hours of Thursday, July 10, 2025, leaving neighbors in disbelief as they rushed to the scene.
Eyewitnesses described the event as “scary” and “unbearable,” asserting the distressing nature of the situation. One witness reported that the mother showed no signs of remorse, stating, “I didn’t regret my actions.”

In response to the growing outrage from the community, police officers were reportedly forced to fire tear gas to disperse an angry crowd that had gathered at the location.
The child is currently receiving treatment at a nearby medical facility, while the mother is in custody at the Kissy Police Headquarters for questioning.
