The main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) has made a leadership change in its representation under the Agreement for National Unity.
The party has removed its 2023 presidential candidate, Dr. Samura Kamara, from the position of Chief Negotiator and appointed former Finance Minister, Dr. Kaifala Marah, as his replacemen.
The change was also confirmed by Chief Minister David Sengeh in a social media post, who is a member of the Tripartite Committee representing the ruling SLPP.
The Agreement for National Unity, signed in the aftermath of the June 2023 multi-tier elections, was brokered between President Julius Maada Bio’s administration and the APC. It paved the way for the creation of a Tripartite Committee on Electoral Systems Review and strengthened platforms for Inter-Party Dialogue.
While the APC has not publicly provided reasons for Dr. Kamara’s replacement, Dr. Marah will now take responsibility for steering the party’s role in the ongoing implementation of the agreement’s terms.
Dr. Marah was originally part of the APC’s negotiating team but notably declined to sign the final Agreement for National Unity. His reappointment to the process suggests the party is repositioning its approach as the dialogue and reforms continue.

No way! Dr SAMURA MW KAMARA PRESIDENT ELECT is still the chief negotiator and stands ready to take the mantle of the Presidency of the Republic of Sierra Leone. He won the June 24th, 2023 multi tier elections as pronounced by the international community at the Irish embassy. Stop fooling yourselves!!! Julius Maada Bio, the APC executive members and all those who have undermined democracy will face justice!!!
Take him to state house now. You are not even known in the party and you are there shouting.
A bunch of fulls and corrupt APC administration .
The best decision ever made by APC
