Justice Allan B. Holloway has formally rejected his suspension from office and the withholding of his salary, describing both actions as illegal and in violation of constitutional principles.
In a letter addressed to the Director General of the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), Justice Holloway stated that the decision taken against him is “premature, procedurally flawed, and unconstitutional.”
He further dismissed the directive from the Judicial and Legal Service Commission (JLSC), signed by the Hon. Chief Justice in his capacity as Chairman, as invalid.
“The so-called order of the JLSC signed by Hon. Chief Justice and Chairman of the JLSC aforesaid…is null and void,” he stated.
Justice Holloway has called for an immediate reversal of the decision, insisting that the suspension not only undermines judicial independence but also violates constitutional safeguards.
