Passengers traveling between Freetown and Lungi faced delays today after the M/V Freetown ferry was unable to dock at the Lungi terminal.
The incident caused temporary disruption to the busy transport route that serves hundreds of daily commuters, including travelers to the Freetown International Airport.
Eyewitnesses reported that the ferry struggled to secure a safe berth at the terminal due to technical challenges and operational constraints.
Video shows some of the passengers having to jump into the sea just to disembark from the ferry.
The situation prompted concern among passengers, some of whom were delayed for several hours before being allowed to disembark safely.
