The Chief Minister of Sierra Leone, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, has donated 30 motorbikes to the Young Generation (Y.G.) leaders of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in the Western Area.

The presentation was made on his behalf by the National Y.G. Leader, Ing. Francis Alpha Kallon, and his Deputy, Aaron Mohamed Lamin Esq., while Dr. Sengeh is on a working visit to Spain.

Speaking at the event, Ing. Kallon said the gesture reflects Dr. Sengeh’s commitment to enhancing the capacity of Y.G. leaders across constituencies, districts, and regions. He described the Young Generation as “the engine of the party” and emphasised that empowering them is essential to advancing the SLPP’s strategic direction ahead of the 2028 elections.

“Dr. Sengeh believes that if young generation leaders are empowered and kept united, His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s desire for a vibrant party that will secure victory in 2028 will be assured, as they will surely stick to the plan,” Ing. Kallon said.

The motorbike donation to Western Region Y.G. leaders is part of a nationwide initiative, which began in the Southern Region. All districts are expected to benefit as Dr. Sengeh continues to support the party’s grassroots mobilisers.

This empowerment drive is part of a broader blueprint aimed at strengthening the SLPP’s organisational structure and aligning it with the National Development Plan, Vision 2024–2030.
