President Brigadier General (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio has announced two new appointments to key positions within the Sierra Leone government today, December 22, 2025.

According to a public notice issued by the Office of the President at State House, Mr. Sheikh Ahmed Tunis has been named the new Executive Director of the National Protected Area Authority (NPAA). In a separate appointment, Ms. Lucretia Marian Shereef has been selected to serve as a Board Member for the Guma Valley Water Company.

The announcement, signed by Secretary to the President Barba B. Fortune, notes that these appointments are subject to parliamentary approval where applicable.
