The Sierra Leone Premier League continues to heat up as teams battle for top positions in the 2025-2026 season. As of Saturday, 27th December 2025, which marks week eight since the league kicks off, Bai Bureh Warriors FC are in the lead, boasting a strong 18 points from eight matches.
The Port Loko-based club has been dominant this season, winning five matches and drawing three. Their impressive form has placed them at the top of the league table, with a significant goal difference of +8, thanks to 10 goals scored and only 2 conceded. The team’s solid defensive and attacking performances have made them the team to beat in the current season.
Star Sports Academy sits in second place with 15 points, having won four matches, drawn three, and lost one. The team has also displayed a balanced attacking and defensive strategy, scoring 11 goals while conceding 7.
Close behind Star Sports Academy is Ports Authority FC in third place with 14 points. Ports Authority has managed to win four games and draw two, but they have yet to lose a match.
FC Kallon and Bo Rangers FC round out the top five teams. Both clubs have had consistent performances, with FC Kallon earning 13 points from eight matches and Bo Rangers securing 13 points from eight games as well.
At the other end of the standings, Diamond Stars FC is struggling at the bottom, with just 5 points from seven matches, while defending champions, East End Lions FC and Mighty Blackpool FC are also facing difficulties. Both teams remain in the relegation zone, and their performances in upcoming matches will be crucial to their survival in the top tier.
