The Statistician General of Statistics Sierra Leone (Stats SL), Andrew Bob Johnny, has assured staff of a more impactful and rewarding tenure as he begins a new term in office, declaring, “I will double your smiles.”

Mr. Johnny made the pledge during a strategic meeting at the agency’s headquarters on 1B King Street, Kona Lodge, where he officially announced his reappointment by President Julius Maada Bio. His previous term concluded on March 31, 2026.

Expressing gratitude for the president’s renewed confidence, Mr. Johnny reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the institution’s role in national development.

“Together, we have built a strong foundation, but the next phase will be even more transformative,” he told staff. “I am committed to improving not only our institutional performance but also the well-being and satisfaction of every staff member.”
